Pride of Place
I was admiring a vintage poster of a local seaside scene while on holidays at Phillip Island. It struck me that similar images were right on my doorstep back home in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

Seaholme. Altona, Williamstown, Newport, Footscray, Yarraville, Spotswood, Albion, Sunshine and other suburbs of Melbourne’s west boast iconic scenes and buildings befitting any landmark or vintage poster. I love creating these wall art prints highlighting a few of Melbourne’s iconic locations. They’re sentimental reminders of childhood, growing up and where we live, play and work today.

My westie art facilitates the expression of pride, happiness, sentimentality and nostalgia for Melbourne’s west.

I acknowledge that the lands on which my posters are based, are on unceded Aboriginal land. I make my art in Seaholme, Bunurong Country. I pay respects to Elders past and present, and to local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.
