The Footscray Cinzano Corner artwork celebrates the iconic ghost sign on the corner of Victoria Street and Buckley Street Footscray. For me, the billboard is a wonderful throw back to my parent’s 1970’s liquor cabinet, the Cinzano standing proudly besides the Crème de Menthe. Vintage Cinzano advertisements are really beautiful, with strikingly bold colours and exotic images. The huge colourful sign is perched above a wonderful intersection in Footscray opposite a pool hall, up from the occasionally-flooded Middle Footscray Station underpass, and at the gateway to Seddon’s popular retail and café precinct.
