Description
The Williamstown Beach Promenade artwork celebrates the much loved foreshore trail that extends from Williamstown beach to Altona Beach. The sculptural sign on the Williamstown beach path that features the peddling and walking feet has always fascinated me. I always make a point when I am there to peer through the sign and observe the colourful backdrop. The artwork would be a perfect gift for lovers of Williamstown Beach, collectors of the Williamstown Westie Poster range, or like me, those who are captivated by the sculpture.
I have since found out that the landmark was made by sculptor Michael Meszaros, commissioned by Hobsons Bay Council in 98/99.
