Description
This artwork is dedicated to a friend’s niece Billie, who is a train driver located at Newport Station. I love that there’s a woman called Billie driving trains, and Newport station is close to my heart, so I immediately set about working on this design. *Train enthusiasts may be triggered that I’ve messed with the overhead wires in my illustration.
Newport station is a major junction station, sending hoards of school kids and local westies through to Williamstown, Werribee and people living along the Altona loop. The station was opened on 1st March 1859 as Geelong Junction, renamed Williamstown Junction in January 1869 and renamed Newport on 1st November 1881.
The Newport Station Billie’s Express wall art print can be purchased in A4, A3, A2, A1 and the super enormous A0. Toot toot.
