Description

The Cape Jervis Rays artwork celebrates a beautiful Cape Jervis sunset. I had the pleasure of visiting South Australia’s gorgeous Cape Jervis, Blowhole beach and the Deep Creek National Park in early January with close friends. I stayed at the local caravan park and enjoyed a few days of driving through some pretty incredible landscape including giant grass trees, rolling hills, and breathtaking sunsets. The Big4 Caravan Park had cute little homesteads/suites, a friendly horse, two emus, sheep, and chickens.

Cape Jervis is a gateway to Kangaroo Island with a ferry terminal and strangely shaped lighthouse. The area is positioned near the western tip of SA’s stunning Fleurieu Peninsula.

The 4WD track down to Blowhole beach, rugged landscape and stunning beaches were a constant source of wonder and I’m grateful to my friend Paul for not tipping us off a cliff with his driving skills.

This poster is based on a photo I took during my first evening at Cape Jervis. While I have recreated the sky, I have not illustrated the sun beams which I photographed with awe. The beauty was overwhelming.

I pay my respects to traditional owners of the land (Parewarangk/Kaurna and Ramindjeri Country).

The Cape Jervis Rays artwork can be ordered in A4, A3, A2, A1 and the super enormous A0.
