Art from the ❤

Kerrie Gottliebsen The Outdoor Gallery Exhibition December 2022 to April 2023

My childhood dream was to be an artist – oh and to be Anna from Abba and agent 99 in Get Smart. Ever the entrepreneur, in primary school I used to charge kids 20 cents to draw pictures of KISS band members on their arms. Drawing back then and today, is something that challenges me to be brave, to learn new things, experience joy and share a bit of happiness.

Later in my 20’s I worked in advertising and partied lots. In my 30’s I moved from Elwood to Melbourne’s Inner West by the bay, slowed down, became a parent and career shape-shifted into communications.

After decades of drawing, I developed a love of oil painting and bokeh photography. I’m a passionate Inner West artist with a studio in Seaholme. I exhibited twice as part of Hobsons Bay’s Art in Public Places – once with cartoons and illustrations and another with bokeh paintings. Volunteering for 12 months at Bayside College in Williamstown to create a mural with some amazing students was a personal highlight. I recently exhibition 11 of my works in large format light box installations as part of the Outdoor Gallery with thanks to the Art and Industry Festival and Hobsons Bay City Council.

I love a wine with good friends and painting while listening to podcasts. My designs and are painted in oils or watercolour, drawn in pencil or created on my Ipad.

I’ve created a vintage inspired range of postcards, calendars, prints, posters and homewares celebrating some of Melbourne’s favourite suburbs, landmarks and destinations.

My posters help people express pride, happiness, sentimentality and nostalgia for places that spark wonderful memories.

I hope your new artwork becomes a much loved part of your home and a lovely memory for life.
