Description
The Kingsville Willow artwork celebrates the iconic Fisher Bat and Willow building and mural on the corner of Webb Street and Williamstown Road Kingsville. I’m always struck by the wonderful mural which reminds me of a Renoir picnic. Occasionally it is tagged and I want to pop by with some matching paint (someone always beats me to it).
Mr Lachlan Fisher, handcrafted nearly 15,000 willow bats in the Williamstown Road workshop over nearly three decades before cheaper, mass-produced bats slashed demand for his custom-made bats. However, the quality bats continue to be crafted in Lismore, country Victoria.
The artwork comes in A1, A2, A3 and A4, and tea-towels by demand.
